Founded in 1873, Standard Country Club offers a time-honored tradition of superb golfing, swimming, tennis, fishing and dining excellence. Standard is proud to be the oldest club in Kentucky and the fourth oldest in the United States. Located on 160 acres along Brownsboro Road (Highway 22), Standard is easily accessible from both the Gene Snyder and Watterson Expressway.
Our Clubhouse provides an elegant yet comfortable setting for any social or business event. Completely rebuilt after a fire in 1997, the Clubhouse offers a spectacular view of the golf course from all of the dining areas. Our wonderful kitchen staff can be compared to those in some of Louisville’s finest restaurants offering specialized ice carvings and excellent cuisine. Six Banquet Rooms of various sizes are available for your use.
The perfect gathering area for your guests is our comfortable Living Room where cocktails and hors d' oeuvres may be served. The Ballroom is a single room seating up to 300 people for a sit-down function allowing room for a dance floor and band. The elegant Ballroom features beautiful hardwood floors, crystal chandeliers and a wall of windows with views of the tennis courts, pool areas and the golf course. A patio area overlooking the golf course may also be used for formal or casual functions.
A lower level of the Clubhouse offers first class locker rooms with entertaining areas that are offered for special catering needs. An equipped Children’s Playroom is also available to entertain your young guests.
